Rocco says the darndest things...........

Last night we got in a little later than normal and the first thing I did before making dinner was to change Gia’s diaper. While I was doing so, Rocco went and grabbed a bag of powdered donuts and poured them on a plate and tells me: “I cooked dinner mommy……….mmmmm……..donuts!” I then took the donuts away and said “Sorry Charlie, nice try, this is not dinner.” He looked at me and said “I’M NOT CHARLIE I’M ROCCO AND I COOKED THE DONUTS FOR DINNER!”

Thieves

Well, yesterday was not such a good day. Not only was my little Gianna sick, but my new "used" double jogging stroller was stolen off my porch. I placed it out there while I was mopping my entry way and when I went to bring it in, it was gone! I am still very upset. How could someone steal something like that? I worked very hard to get it and it was gone just like that. KARMA KARMA KARMA will get the thief...................

Thursday's Quote

“Even if you're on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there.”

- Will Rogers (1879–1935) American comedian and actor

I subscribe to the web-site http://www.justsell.com/ and I receive daily emails with quotes and sales tips. This is one of my favorites and it made me smile when I opened today's email and saw that it was the quote of the day.

5-Hour Energy Anyone?

I have heard so much about the "5-hour Energy drink" and have decided that I am going to try it today. I had to work both jobs yesterday (8 am to 4am) and have to do the same today and tomorrow as well as work Saturday night from 6 pm till 4am. I figure now is as good of a time as ever to try it. I will let you know how it goes.....................

Today's Quote

“For the hand that rocks the cradle - Is the hand that rules the world” -William Ross Wallace

**My mom sent me a card for Mother's Day with this quote written on the inside of the card. Believe it or not, I had never heard this quote before and now it is one of my favorites. I decided to "google" William Ross Wallace and this is what I found:

Our God is the Sovereign King of the universe, and He has blessed mothers with an awesome responsibility.
Click on Deuteronomy 6:6 and His Word

Blessings on the hand of women!
Angels guard its strength and grace,
In the palace, cottage, hovel,
Oh, no matter where the place;
Would that never storms assailed it,
Rainbows ever gently curled;
For the hand that rocks the cradle
Is the hand that rules the world.

Infancy's the tender fountain,
Power may with beauty flow,
Mother's first to guide the streamlets,
From them souls unresting grow--
Grow on for the good or evil,
Sunshine streamed or evil hurled;
For the hand that rocks the cradle
Is the hand that rules the world.

Woman, how divine your mission
Here upon our natal sod!
Keep, oh, keep the young heart open
Always to the breath of God!
All true trophies of the ages
Are from mother-love impearled;
For the hand that rocks the cradle
Is the hand that rules the world.

Blessings on the hand of women!
Fathers, sons, and daughters cry,
And the sacred song is mingled
With the worship in the sky--
Mingles where no tempest darkens,
Rainbows evermore are hurled;
For the hand that rocks the cradle
Is the hand that rules the world.

Ok, tonight I am going to watch a movie!!!!!!!!!!

Part of the fun of being a single mom is having to give up "me" time. My 3 year old son Rocco is a handful and never lets me watch tv. :) From the moment I pick him up from daycare and feed him dinner, he is NON-STOP! I am really having a tough time getting him to go to bed at 8 pm. Needless to say, by the time I get him down for bed, I am too tired to watch tv or read a book. I am notorious for renting movies from NetFlix and holding onto them for a month (or 2)! So, tonight I have scheduled time for me to watch a movie that I recorded on my DVR back in February. :) We will see how it goes..............

Quote of the Day..........

"I only want people around me who can do the impossible." - Elizabeth Arden

I love this quote and it really applies to my life. I try to surround myself with people that take on challenges and work hard. I have little to no free time and try to fit as much as I can into 24 hours. I am always looking for ways to manage my time better. Time management has always been a weakness of mine. I am always running ten minutes late and can never finish all that I need to get done in a day.

I have started this week by making daily lists of all I need to accomplish at work and at home. If something doesn't get done, it goes to the top of the list for the next day. So far, so good!

me

Hello! Welcome to my blog. My name is Tracy and I am a 34 year old single mother living in Tampa, FL. I am originally from San Jose, CA and have been living here for 6 years now. I really miss home and hope I can someday make it back to CA. Here is my "boring" intro........

I have two beautiful children, Rocco Giovanni and Gianna Bella. They are the two loves of my life. I do not know what I would do without them. They inspire me every single day and I truly believe they will both be famous someday. :)

I decide to start this blog so that I can keep sort of an on-line diary of my day-to-day life. So many wonderful and crazy things happen to me, so I figured it was best to start blogging about it.

I currently have two jobs. I work full time at a CPA firm as well as bartend 2-3 nights a week at an Irish Pub. My children stay with their father on the nights that I bartend. I also own a small business called "Rockin' the Cradle". I imprint and sell infant and toddler apparel. Here are some of my designs:

http://www.rockinthecradle.com/ is my site.

Anyway, back to work...............
